In order to be eligible for services through the Cambridge Child Development Centre, our clients must meet the following requirements:
· Have a confirmation of diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (specifically PDD-NOS or Classic Autism) from a Paediatrician or registered Child Psychologist (note: parents who have children with significant developmental delays may also wish to apply).
· Be a resident of Ontario (children from the Cambridge and surrounding areas will have priority).
· Be within the ages of 2-9 years old upon intake.
· Have undergone an intake session with one of our Senior Staff, which would involve a formal interview (parents only) and observation (with child) to determine if the program is suitable for your child.
· Have been in contact with your regional program (see parent information section) in order to determine eligibility for the Direct Funding option and designated funded therapy hours (this is determined by the regional program). The regional program's Direct Funding Coordinator helps parents coordinate funding towards private-based therapy providers if parents choose this option. (Note: services can also be purchased privately at cost to parents).
